Thinking drought busters!!

I know you are probably thinking “What is he on about?” or “Has he gone completely bonkers?”

But now is most definately the time to be thinking about what is going to be in your gardens and patios this summer.
Although we have had a fair amount of rain in the past few days and with the promise of more to come, experience has shown us that unless you have a never ending supply of water then drought tolerant planting is always a safe bet.
You have your traditonal garden favourites such as Geranium, Lavenders and Hydrangea. But why not try some of other fantastic drought busters with Cordyline Australis and Potentilla both firm favourites of Blooming Direct shoppers.
By thinking and planning ahead you can save yourself a great deal of work in the summer.

Happy gardening,
Joel

Planting drought tolerant plants is certainly a good idea for many parts of the world now. Our summers here in Austin can be very hot and dry. I have a couple books on Xerascaping which have been helpful thus far.

Love the photo of your lavender, btw.

Cheers!
